3. Revival of KRIBHCO jetty at Magdalla
GMB is planning to develop a common user berth towards south of Essar jetty at Hazira. The location is falling under the administrative control of Magdalla Port, which is very near to anchorage and streaming time for barges can be saved considerably resulting in increase in throughput at less cost. Fertilizer, Soyaben, Groundnut, Coal, general cargo, etc. can be handled at this proposed location. The facilities will provide for 180 m long berth suitable for 2 vessels of 2000 dwt capacity. Sufficient back up area and infrastructure are planned for proposed development. |
