GMB is actively participating in developing the rail linkages to the ports present in Gujarat. Currently Gujarat ports viz. Pipavav, Mundra, Navlakhi, Bhavnagar and Okha are connected with Broad Gauge rail network.
Major projects handled by GMB
- Broad gauge connection to port Mundra and Pipavav is completed
- Modality has been finalized for linkages of ports Hazira 37 km long and Dahej 64 km under Special Purpose Vehicles model by RVNL, Government of Gujarat and other private players
- Broad Gauge rail linkage has also been proposed for Bedi/Rozi (Jamnagar) and formation of SPV with private player is under progress
