Facilities:

Private Barges, tugs and launches are provided from Bedi Bunder
as and when required on request from shippers.

A new Jetty at Sikka Port has been constructed for discharging
GSFC’s imports of Liquid Ammonia and Phospheric Acid through pipelines.

At present, Sikka’s new jetty accommodates vessels up to 8
meters draft and 165 m L.O.A. Efforts are being made to increase the draft and
L.O.A.

The Jetty position is at Latitude
22° 27' 19" N and Longitude : 69° 45' 4" E.
Planned Activities:
At Sikka, M/s Reliance Petroleum Ltd., has constructed an oil
refinery with a capacity of 27 million tones per annum. They have already
constructed Ro-Ro and Lo-Lo jetties for handling project cargo required by
Reliance Petroleum. They have also created facilities for discharging crude oil
through pipelines, i.e., SPM 1&2 in seawater and also constructed tanker berths
A,B,C & D for direct berthing of vessels at Sikka.
Also cement/clinker/coal ships of Shree Digvijay Cement Co. Ltd.
are handled at Sikka Port and salt ships are handled at Singach Salt Works Jetty
at Singach
Infrastructure:
Sikka is rail and road connected to Jamnagar.
Industries:
GSFC jetty (Gujarat State Fertiliser Co.). –
ammonia, phosphoric acid (0.55 mln tonnes) and LPG; Digvijay Cement executes cement
lighterage to small wharf; All these cargoes are captive. Around 0.5 mln tonnes
general products may be non-captive;
Commodities Handled:
Import:Phospheric Acid, Liquid Ammonia, Coal, Machinery,
Crude Oil, Propylene etc.
Export:Clinker, Cement, Salt.
