Anchorage :
Anchorage
is 5 Kms away from Dahej Port (Old) and about 6 Kms from
Jageshwar IPCL Jetty.
During high
tide, the draft at Dahej Port is 2.50 Mtrs. to 3.50 Mtrs.
and at Jageshwar IPCL Jetty. It is 4 to 7 Mtrs. Draft
available at anchorage is 16 Mtrs.

Tugs, launches and barges are available with DHIL, IPCL & GCPTCL.

The port cargo is generally handled with cranes. Port users have to
arrange the same from private parties, as this facility is not available at
the Port. Captive jetties are fitted with cargo handling equipments.

Planned Activities:
- M/s Indo Gulf Fertilizers have developed port facilities for captive use,
for their copper smelter plant.
- GCPTCL has developed a unique Chemical Terminal at Lakhigam site, Dahej
- GMB has plans to develop a lighterage port at the mouth of river Narmada
at Jageshwar.
- A solid port catering to industries based in and around Dahej and Waghra
has also been planned.
- Petronet LNG Ltd. has been granted permission to construct a deep water
jetty for import of 5 MMTA of LNG at Dahej Port.
- Gujarat Maritime Board has decided to provide ro-ro-cum-cargo handling
facilities at Dahej (Jageshwar) on the mouth of Narmada river.
- Construction of a Dry Cargo Jetty with a length of 106 mtrs., width 40
mtrs. And draft 6.5 mtrs., at Jageshwar is being considered by the GMB, to
improve dry cargo/container handling at Dahej
Industries:
IndoGulf – copper and phosphate, Indian
Petrochemicals Corporation LTD,(IPCL) for the liquids and gases, Gujarat Alkalies,
Pushpa Polymers, LG Polymers and Petronet India Ltd.In addition, Bharuch in the immediate hinterland has a large
industrial area, while one is also developed in Dahej;
Infrastructure:
Dahej is connected to Bharuch (distance 45 kms) and
Vadodara (108 kms) by road. The nearest railway station is Bharuch on
broad gauge trunk route. The nearest airport is Vadodara, which is connected with
Mumbai and Delhi.
