Main Criteria:
Bedi is an all-weather tidal lighterage Port. It is situated on the southern coast of Gulf of Kutch. The Port is very close to Jamnagar city and is classified as an intermediate anchorage Port.

Current port capacity:
4.0 mln tones;

Trade estimate 2010:
7.8 mln tones;

• MHWS – 5.94 meters

• MHWN – 5.39 meters

• MLWS – 1.89 meters

• MLWN – 1.04 meters

• MSL – 3.60 meters.

Anchorage:

Anchorage is 11 Kms. Away from Bedi Port about 6 Kms away from New Bedi Port and 5 Kms from New Rozi Pier Port. The Port is approachable only during the high tide for barges / Tugs Depth available at anchorage is 16 meters.

Facilities:

• Tug : 05 Nos. of average 350 BHP01 No. of 1600 BHP

• Launch : 02 Nos.

• Water barge : 01 No. of 75 T capacity

• Crane : 03 Nos. mobile coles crane.

  • 01 No. Leda crane

  • 01 No. Dry dock crane

• Docks : For repairs of port launches, tugs, barges, etc. the Port has a small dry dock, which can accommodate four port crafts at a time, up to 2 mtrs. Draft vessels. It also has two grid iron facilities and a well-equipped marine workshop for mechanical repairs.

• Dredger : 1 no. excavator type mounted on pontoon is available having capacity of 85 cu. Mtrs./hrs supported with 2 hopper barges of capacity 100/200 MT.

• HT / LT power is available at Rozi and Bedi Port.

• Total 17 anchorage-working points available for Bedi Port.

• Mechanised bulk handling system for agro based export cargo available at New Bedi (Rozi) port.

Road connections through the ‘coastal highway’;

Industries:
Ashapura Minechem for the local bentonite production.

Commodities Handled:
Import : Fertilizers, CARE Cargo, Dates, Vegetable Oil, Etc.
Export : Oil Cakes, Salt Groundnut Seeds, Guar Gum, Oil & Various Extractions.
